Uitbreking van breinvliesontsteking in Nelspruit-omgewing

Johannesburg - 'n Uitbreking van breinvliesontsteking is in die Nelspruit-omgewing in Mpumalanga aangemeld.

Volgens die provinsiale departement van gesondheid het 15 mense, waarvan talle kinders is, positief getoets vir die virus wat die siekte veroorsaak.

Mpho Gabashane, woordvoerder, het gesê die departement is deur MediClinic gekontak nadat tien pasiënte deur hulle gediagnoseer is.

"'n Reaksiespan probeer die situasie onder beheer hou," het Gabashane bygevoeg.
